DAILY IMMERSION wedneday | M02. The Factors of the Chuch’s Decline

  1. Today, we are like channels for transmitting the Word of God. Not just information about God, but we convey God Himself with all His power, enabling man to fulfill the Word. Why did Jesus have power when He lived on earth? Because the Word dwelt in Him. (John 1:14).
  2. The two disciples on the road to Emmaus testified that their hearts burned within them as Jesus spoke to them. The Word of God burns, burns and sets our hearts on fire. It is not mere information or biblical knowledge, but God Himself! Thanks to the Lord, the Word in which we immerse ourselves is setting our hearts on fire. (Lk 24:13-35).
  3. Paul was entrusted with the responsibility of serving as a channel for the Word of God to flow as grace. This is God’s choice! Paul did not apply and did not choose to be this channel. It is God who chooses. And the one chosen by God knows his inability. Paul spoke several times that he was the least of the apostles. He knew that he was unworthy of being a dispenser of God’s grace. (Gal 2:7-9, Eph 3:2-7).
  4. It is difficult to receive a man’s word without doubting that it is indeed the word of God, because the idea always comes that man is fallible. But God uses men. The Thessalonians heard the word of Paul, but they did not take it as the words of men, but of God (1 Thess 2:13). When we receive the apostle’s word and believe it as the word of God, it works effectively in us and does the work of God. That’s what we’ve been experiencing in recent years.
