DAILY IMMERSION Monday | M03. The Works of the “Prophetess”Jezebel

As we review the history of the church over these twenty centuries, we are looking at our own history and this gives us a sense of location, like a GPS, in order to know where we are, where we are going and how long it will take until the end, our destiny, the kingdom. We have no more time to waste, the Lord is counting on us, the church in Philadelphia. God wants to put in us a heart of urgency (Eph 5:15-16; Rom 13:11-12).
The word of the Lord carries out the work of God. And God’s work is to do His will, which is to head up Christ over all things: the heavens and the earth. So, for Christ to reign over all things, He must first reign in the church. God wants to rule over you by filling you with Christ, through His Word—the prophetic word (Eph. 1:9-10; John 6:29, 38-39).
We praise the Lord, because His restoration took place with the resurgence of a reverent love for this word, which caused and has caused the enlistment of an army of people committed to the will of God (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 3, Monday, page 41).
Our work here on earth is to preach the gospel of the kingdom. That is why, on the streets, in our short approach to people (“May I pray for you?”), we manage to reconnect them with God in an immediate, emergency way. But we need to leave books in their hands, for these books contain the gospel of the kingdom, which will give an overview of what God wants on earth today (Rom. 10:14-18; Matt. 24:14, 45-46).
