DAILY IMMERSION Friday | Mess. 10: Sardis: The Treasure Hidden in a Field

1. Christ governs the church by the Word. Church leaders need to carry out the role of messengers, those who receive and convey God’s message to the church. If I am the bearer of a message, that message is not mine, but God’s. Do not filter it, but faithfully transmit it. We cannot pass a wrong command to the Body. God uses the channel to convey His burden faithfully.

2. Paul was a dispensing channel of the Word of God and could only convey what God revealed. This is a principle that should govern us: the treasure of Christ is in the Word, not only in the Bible but where there is revelation. This revelation is from Jesus Christ. He is the treasure. God reveals through His dispensing channel, and then the messengers of the churches convey the revelation of Jesus Christ which they receive through God’s channel.

3. We do not rely on human leadership but on the Spirit. He holds in His right hand the Seven Spirits and the seven stars, the seven angels, the messengers of the church. The church depends on the power of the Spirit.

4. “With Christ our life is a constant feast! The church life is a constant feast. We do not need certain days to celebrate. We can always do it, immersing ourselves in the word, practicing it, being filled with the Spirit, and speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs”
