1. In the Garden of Eden, the Lord gave man everything necessary for physical sustenance. However, man is not just matter, for he came from the breath of the eternal God. We are, therefore, tripartite: we have the body, the spirit and the soul. Our spirit and soul need is met and satisfied by the word of God.
2. Man was simple and pure; he was obedient to whatever God spoke to him. However, when the serpent put doubt in his mind, he lost his simplicity and purity, and left the word of God as food for life.
3. Man’s spirit was deadened, and he start to belong to the prince of the power of the air and lived according to the spirit of disobedience, which works in everyone who belongs to the kingdom of darkness. That is why man is so rebellious against God. By nature, we were all bound to wrath because of our disobedience.
4. “Today we can no longer live under the influence of fallen nature, seeking only tangible and visible things on the earthly plane, because the day we received the word of the gospel and believed in Jesus, we received a new life, and faith was generated within us.”
