1. As the Samaritans were very thirsty for the word, Jesus remained there two more days. They understood that the word brought them life and joy. When we value the word, Jesus is interested in spending more time with us, as His word flows in this environment. But when we don’t give due appreciation to the word, the Lord doesn’t stay long.
2. No man, by himself, is capable of doing God’s will. The most we do is like the work of Cain, who offered the best he could, but not according to God’s way. God is not pleased when we act according to our own will, outside of His ways.
3. We need to learn the way of Jesus: He humbled Himself and emptied Himself. Jesus did not come wanting to be the greatest, but the smallest. He humbled Himself and did not seek position for Himself but came to do God’s will. Jesus sought to be the least to serve. This was the path Jesus chose, which is the opposite of Lucifer’s path. We are in the era of Philadelphia, so let’s learn from Jesus.
4. “Satan wants to take away the basis of our faith, because he knows that it is by faith that we overcome him and the world (1 John 5:4-5). We cannot let anyone divert us from these very important truths, which is why, nowadays, it is crucial to hear and welcome the prophetic word, as it is God who speaks and who confirms it”.
