1. God’s intention was for created man to receive His life by eating from the tree of life, which was placed in the center of the garden of Eden. This life would be planted in the heart of man, which is the land to reproduce the seed of life, so it would become fertile and multiply. (Gen 2:9)
2. In the Bible, animal life always represents redemption, the need for the shedding of Christ’s blood, for our rescue from this perverse world. Therefore, by the blood of His Son, God redeemed us and bought us back to Himself. (1 Cor 6:19,20, John 3:16, 1 Pet 1:18-21)
3. Redemption is not just for the forgiveness of sins; this is the minimum condition for us to be justified, but redemption goes beyond this. We were purchased by the precious blood of Christ, to be transferred to the kingdom. Redemption aims to place us in the kingdom of God. (1 Pe 1:18-21; Col 1:13-14; Rev 5:9-10)
4. There are many genuinely saved Christians, regenerated by His Spirit, but He cannot count on them all. That is why the Lord is raising up Zion, the strong part of God’s people, who fight for the kingdom and do not live for their own interests. (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 1, Tuesday, page 10)
