DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Thursday | Mess. 06 – The Church’s Degradation Over the Centuries

When we are in the desert there is nothing left for us but to depend and live by the word that comes from the mouth of God. There are no shortcuts and no capacity, not even human provision for sustenance. We only have the word and that’s enough for us! This is the life that God teaches us to have (Deut 8:1-3; Ex 19; 1; Matt 4:4).
The prophetic word is unmistakable: God Himself is the One who makes it happen! It governs our daily lives, like a voice of command from God. Receive the prophetic word! (Deut 18:15-22)
Christ received the mission to fill the church with reality and through it to head up all things. Those who prophesy today do so through Christ, for He is the One speaking (Heb 1:1-2; Eph 1:9,10).
“And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice” (John 10:4). This is what is currently happening. We follow because we recognize the voice of the Lord Himself speaking His prophetic word (1 Thess 2:13). We follow the word because, when we hear it, we hear the Shepherd’s voice and identify Him as the Lord speaking” (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 4, Thursday, page 64).
