- God’s government is not by mere organization or by an organizational chart, but by life. God wants to establish a kingdom where He can reign in life (Gen 1:26-28; Rom 5:17).
- God never intended to establish any other type of government other than that of life. However, Satan, knowing this, sought to frustrate God’s plan by attracting man by the ability to discern between good and evil. Man, then, began to live by his own ability, no longer depending on God, and became governed by the prince of the world, the devil (Gen 3:1-7; Rom 5:12).
- How will God restore government in life? Starting from us! Yet, we have a difficulty: we have become accustomed to a world that is governed without life. Moreover, everything that is lifeless needs organization and hierarchy. Nevertheless, God does not want this type of government. He wants to rule by life, yet we have difficulty understanding that (Mt 20:20-28).
- “Just like the colt, consecrated for the exclusive use of the Lord, the humble of Bethany are those chosen by God to bring about the government of Christ. God wants to use each one as a donkey in order to crown Jesus as King. Let us bring our King back (1 Cor 1:26-29)” (Daily Food, Book 3, Week 4, Wednesday, p. 62).
