- We need to value the fellowship of life that we experience in the church, as it is a gift from God to us. The Word of life is Christ Himself and all of us who received Him were made children of God, members of the Body of Christ and were introduced into the fellowship of life. (John 1:12-13).
- Preaching the gospel is exactly preaching Christ as eternal life. Not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ be nullified. Only the Word of life, which has its origin in Christ, produces as a result the edification of the church and the growth of its members (1 Cor 1:17).
- Paul did not use human wisdom or eloquent words to preach, because the Word of the cross is the power of God. When the Word comes from God, it comes out with power. We have to preach Christ, otherwise it will only be biblical knowledge. (1 Cor 1:18).
- The first Christians of the early church lived based on the word of the apostles. Church members received God’s life and nature through the word, which contained His love. (Acts 2:42). (Daily Food, Book 5, Week 1, Friday, page 17).
