- We need to change our mindset with respect to the needs in the Lord’s work. We here on Earth are the one that must take it forward. Our heart must not be focused on investing in this Earth because our homeland is heavenly. Where your heart is, there your treasure will be (Matt 6:21).
- We are pilgrims on the Earth. Peter realized that his natural man did not have even the slightest qualification to serve God. We need the transformation and the complete salvation of our soul. Trails and tribulations are necessary for our faith to be totally purified (1 Thess 3:7; Heb 10:22).
- For His work, God seeks those who consider themselves insufficient, with no ability at all. It is in that kind of heart that the Lord has freedom. For this, it is crucial to have a reverent love for His Word (Isa 66:2).
- Like Lazarus, we were dead in our trespasses and sins. Nevertheless, the Lord resurrected us by saying “Come out!” Then, we were made alive and came out of the “tomb.” We are living witnesses of the Lord’s power and life (Daily Food, Volume 6, Week 4, Monday, page 58).
