- We all received the incorruptible seed when we were regenerated. In other words, when we believed in the Lord Jesus, we received a new life, which is the divine seed itself planted in our hearts (1 Pet 1:23).
- Change in our lives happens when we obey the truth. This attitude makes all the difference. It is not a matter of merely changing our outward behavior, but one of obedience to the truth, to the word of life. The circulation of life, practiced through all the tools we have today, causes the divine and eternal life of God to take command of our lives (1 Peter 1:22).
- The first sign and result of living by the life of God and in obedience to the word of truth is that we begin to love one another fervently with brotherly love, without pretense (1 John 4:7; 1 Peter 1:22- 23).
- In the period pertaining to Ephesus, the church abandoned its first love because it lost the reality of Christian living, which can only be maintained through God’s word spoken through the prophets. Furthermore, without the first love, the church cannot be built up, because the relationship of love between Christ and His bride is the foundation of this building.
