- In the present day we must be prudent, that is, have a sound mind, have good sense and be sober, of a healthy mind; to dedicate ourselves to prayer. Jesus said to the disciples: “Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41).
- We are not called to live an individual Christian life. We are living stones being built up with one another. The main element for the building up of the church is the love of God. Love is the bond, the only element that unites, connects and ties us perfectly, uniting us with God and with one another perfectly (Colossians 3:14; 1 Peter 4:8; 1 John 4:8).
- The members of the Body of Christ have received different gifts, according to the grace given to each one, to carry out their function for edification. God has arranged the members, placing each one of them in the Body, as it pleased Him, so that we should not complain or desire different functions (Romans 12:5-6; Ephesians 4:11-12).
- When we set aside time for the Lord, He takes care of us. What good is it to wear yourself out to gain the whole world and lose your soul? Let us live for the Lord. Even while we work, if we have our hearts in the work of God, He will supply all our needs (Matthew 6:33). (Daily Food, Book 1, Saturday, p. 19).
