- God’s work does not come from man; it comes from God! In the ministry of the letter, man still depends on human capacity. But the minister of the new covenant depends on the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life (2 Cor 3:6).
- The Lord calls us to be these last-hour workers. He desires the freedom to do His work, and indeed He is doing it. Let us grow and make progress! Don’t stand still! Let us add our faith to virtue. Virtue brings the energy of life to work this word into our hearts (Matt. 20:8; 2 Pet. 1:5).
- Without the word we have no energy, because it is the word that provides energy for our faith, so we need to practice immersion in the word. Let us not let our faith remain still, static, it needs to be dynamic, energized to produce something for God (2 Cor 10:15; 1 John 5:4).
- “When we receive the prophetic word, it is the Spirit of truth who gives us revelation, for He guides us into all truth (John 16:13). We understand what God has spoken because His word does not come to us as mere doctrine or teaching, but as a revelation of what is in His heart” (Daily Food, Book 1, Week 4, Wednesday, p. 62).
