- We need the supply of God’s knowledge, but not theoretical, doctrinal knowledge. But knowledge that has life and energy. And with this knowledge you begin to understand God better. Working in the Word through immersion, war cries, and transcription gives you experiences that bring you closer to God (2 Peter 1:5).
- The word brings us faith, virtue, knowledge, and self-control. It is not merely a natural quality, but it is the Spirit working and growing in our hearts. We also need to have perseverance. For the greatest quality of a servant of God who is used by Him is endurance (2 Pet. 1:6).
- Jesus was determined to fulfill the Father’s will on earth. We are not here to do our own work or seek fame; we are here to endure in doing the Father’s will. Through endurance we have godliness and a life that expresses this quality of reverence and faithfulness to God (2 Pet. 1:6).
- “We have free access to the Holy of Holies that is in our spirit and we can enter at any time. However, the criteria remain the same: in our spirit is the mercy seat, and there are cherubim watching over the glory, the righteousness and the holiness of God. This means that when we speak of the fellowship of life, we are speaking of meeting with God before the mercy seat, in the midst of the cherubim. The Holy of Holies is the place where God meets men” (Heb. 10:19) (Daily Food, Book 1, Week 4, Thursday, pp. 64-65).
