- To head up all things, Christ was first given to the church. This is not a religious institution, but “His Body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” The church is the Body of Christ and He must first fill it, head it up and then use it to, by obedience to the Head, introduce all things to the obedience of Christ (Eph 1:9-10, 22-23) .
- When we look at each other, we need to have the discernment that we are part of the Body of Christ, full of life, in which we are members of each other. As members, each has their role. We need to see that we are members that complement each other (Rom 12:4-5).
- The primary meaning of the prophet’s office in the Body of Christ is one who speaks for God under His direct inspiration to give direction to the entire Body. How does the Body manage to survive and move? It all depends on the Head who starts using the mouth that speaks for God. It does not refer to speaking for God in a generic way, but directly inspired by God, by the Holy Spirit (Rom 12:6-7).
- The Lord is coming back and we are not in church to argue but to promote God’s economy in faith. We have no more time to waste, let’s do God’s work and do His will. (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 3, Friday, p. 49).
