1. Men are very fond of flaunting their position, that is, of asserting their post. In the age of Revelation, the Lord no longer gives importance so much to position, but to reality. Are you an angel? A faithful messenger? Are you one who carries God’s message and whom He can use as a channel of grace?
2. The Lord only requires you to be a faithful and appropriate messenger. God’s government comes through God’s message, and God’s message comes by the messenger, through the channels that God chooses. It is the word of God that governs the church.
3. God does not rule the church by human ability – fabulous oratory, eloquence, and biblical knowledge that everyone applauds. God no longer wants to use those things; God wants to use His Seven Spirits.
4. “A true man of God lives primarily to please Him and not just to have a good image before men. In the work of the Lord, our focus is not on pleasing the many, as politicians do to get votes, but on walking according to God (1 Thess 2:3-7). The true apostle is he who dares to speak the truth.”
