DAILY IMMERSION Friday | Mess. 16 – He Must Increase, but I Must Decrease

1. By insisting on remaining active after the end of his mission, John the Baptist lost his usefulness and also the direction of the Spirit. When we insist on continuing our ministry without the leading of the Spirit, we lose the anointing and God’s work cannot be accomplished through us. You can continue speaking beautiful words, baptizing and trying to serve, but this service no longer does God’s work.

2. When someone loses the anointing and direction of the Spirit, but insists on doing the work, they end up getting into issues of religious practices, which only generate discussion and not life. Those who are not aligned with the prophetic word tend to focus on foolish matters, beautiful words thrown away, which produce nothing.

3. The bride, the church, is not a stranger to Christ, but His increase or enlargement. That is why God wants to fill it with Christ Himself. To do this, God washes through the word, which takes away all the elements of the old man and fills it with Christ as reality until fullness. When each of us is filled with Christ, the church will be Christ!

4.“If we still do things and make decisions for ourselves, according to our own will, we are far from being headed by Christ. Only when we are headed by Him will we understand, together with all the saints, what is the width, length, height and depth of the dimensions of Christ (Eph. 3:18-19).”.
