1. For God’s work to happen, two things are necessary: Jesus needs to speak, and man must believe. In Cana in Galilee the Lord spoke and the officer just believed His word, even without seeing the signs and miracles. Don’t wait for signs, use your faith in the prophetic word. This miracle was recorded to make this clear.
2. How much power there is in the word of God! The word turned water into wine and healed the son of the king’s officer. When we preach the gospel of the kingdom on the streets, we must realize that the word we use is the one that came from the mouth of the Lord, it is not the word in dead letters, but the word of life that works healing in people.
3. It was not the physical presence of Jesus that accomplished the healing, but the word He spoke. We have the presence of Jesus in the word. The word of Jesus gives us power.
4. “God’s desire is not that we have only unity among ourselves, the children of God, but unity with God Himself. God wants to instill us through Christ, in the same unity that exists between the Father and the Son.
