- God created man to rule the entire Earth through him. This would not be a government like human systems as we know them today. God desires to rule all of His creation through His life (Gen. 1:26-28; Matt. 6:10).
- By eating from the tree of life, man would receive divine life. God would then govern him, not through rules, but through His life. Because of His greatness, God does not impose His will on man; so He gave him an option, which is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 2:9, 16-17).
- By eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, man chose to acquire the ability to discern what is good from what is evil and thus opened the door for sin to enter the world; moreover, through sin, death passed to all men. The enemy was very cunning and deceitful, because as a result of this choice, when man wants to do good, he does not have the power to do it, but the evil he does not want, that is what he does (Gen. 3:6; Rom. 5:12; Rom. 7:19).
- In creation, God simply spoke, and everything took place. This shows that God’s work is done by the word. We do not need to do much research to understand this. Just look at how God created all things. The book of Genesis shows that He simply said, “Let there be light, and there was light” (Ps. 33:9; Gen. 1:3). (He who Has an Ear, Let Him Hear. Sardis Lessons in Revelation, Background I, Monday, p. 42).
