1. The faith that each of us received when we believed in the Lord Jesus is like a piece of land that God gave to you and me. This portion of faith has the same spiritual value, and it is up to each of us to “work” to produce the proper fruits (2 Pet 1:1).
2. Objective faith is Christ, the Son of God. In the book of Galatians, we read: “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (2:20).
3. The moment we believed in the Lord Jesus, objective faith was projected into our inner being. When we receive it, it becomes our subjective faith. It is like a camera that transfers the image of the landscape into it. This is what happens to all who are saved. God, through the light that comes from the word of the gospel that has been preached to us, projects the image of Christ into our hearts (Eph 3:17).
4. The Lord Jesus died on the cross, shedding His blood to grant us forgiveness of sins. This is the essence of preaching the gospel (Luke 24:45-47) (Daily Food, Book 2, Monday, p. 5).
