- Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon, the most powerful man on earth, who could do whatever he wanted. But God made sure to make him recognize that the Almighty has dominion over everything. Heaven dominates! God created the heavens and the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him. Through the spirit of man God will dominate and rule the earth again (Dan 4:25; Zech 12:1).
- The Lord wants to dwell in those who are humble and repentant of heart, because through their obedience He will be able to rule all things. Christ is the wisdom of God, for Him and through Him, all things were created and function (Isaiah 57:15; 66:2; Hebrews 1:3).
- God placed the sand to limit the power of the sea. If He is capable of this, wouldn’t He be able to restore His rule through His church? The baton is the instrument through which the conductor sets the rhythm, time, and intensity of an orchestra. Today, the Lord’s baton is His word! (Job 38:8-11).
- “As for us, let us follow what John advised: ‘Therefore we ought to welcome such brothers, so that we may become fellow workers for the truth’” (3 John 8). Whoever cooperates with colporteurs is a fellow worker for the truth. Their work is to bring the word of life so that people may enter into the fellowship of life. Therefore, whoever helps them in this task is a fellow worker for the truth!” (Daily Food, Book 3, Week 4, Saturday, p. 69).
