- We only know God when we keep and practice His word. The word is not to be practiced as a list of rules, as it was in the Old Testament. The way we receive from God is the fellowship of the word of life, which gives us the ability to fulfill the word (1 John 2:3-6).
- It is not the branches that bear fruit, but the vine itself, which is Christ! The branch, like man, does not have the capacity to fulfill the law and bear fruit. When we organically unite with the vine through the fellowship of life, we are able to bear fruit. These fruits come from the sap, from the life that circulates among all of us (John 15:5-7).
- God insists on the implanting of the word beyond the dead letter. What works is the word “rhema” instilled in our hearts. That’s why we immerse ourselves in the word: so that it can be implanted in our hearts (Col 3:14; Eph 5:18-19).
- We were handed over to Christ by the Father. He does not claim the authorship of this work for Himself, but recognizes that the Father is the One who does everything and is the source of everything. Today what He is doing is bringing God Himself to us, engraving His substance on our person. Hallelujah, through Christ we are being “imprinted” with what God is! (Col 1:15; Hb1:3) (Daily Food, Book 5, Week 3, Saturday, p. 53).
