DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Saturday | Mess. 22 – Partakers of the Divine Nature

  1. In 2 Peter 1:2, the term “full knowledge” in Greek is “epignosis.” It is not knowledge acquired by mere systematic study or by understanding human logic; rather, it comes from inculcating the word of God in us. God impresses the content, the reality, of this word on our hearts. We do not know how such a great change has occurred in the lives of our teenagers. God began to give them “full knowledge,” and He also gives it to us who labor by faith on the word (2 Peter 1:2).

  1. On the basis of God having called us unto His own glory and virtue, He has given us His precious and exceedingly great promises, which contain all the promises contained in the Bible, and which aim to make us partakers of the divine nature. Back in Genesis, when He placed the tree of life in the center of the garden, God already intended for man to partake of His life and nature (2 Pet 1:3 4).

  1. God’s intention is to give life to man, but the law was not able to do this. If the law could give life, there would have been no need for Christ to come. The precious and exceedingly great promises were given to us in Christ Jesus by faith. We, who were once total strangers to the promises given by God to the people of Israel, now share in them, which include the incorruptible inheritance mentioned in 1 Peter 1:4-5 (John 10:10b; 2 Pet. 1:3-4; 1 Pet. 1:4-5).

  1. If, in the fellowship of life, God exposes the darkness, sins and unrighteousness that may exist in us, let us understand that this light is not intended to condemn us, but to produce in us a good conscience to serve the living God. The Lord wants all members to serve Him, not in darkness, not in sin, but in the light, with a clear conscience (Heb 9:14). (Daily Food, Book 1, Week 3, Saturday, p. 54).
