- Competition only occurs in a lifeless kingdom. However, in the kingdom where life rules, things are not that way (Mt 20:20-28, Mt 18:1-4).
- We all have to have the spirit of a servant. The Lord Jesus left us the best model: He did not come to be served, but sacrificed Himself on behalf of many. This is the church life: we serve out of love for the Father (Mt 20:25-28).
- A proper building cannot be constructed without a foundation. God wants to produce a building in love and it needs to have a foundation in love. The word has done this work and has established in us a foundation of love (Eph 3:17).
- “While a loose donkey eats anything, the one who remains tied to the most excellent vine enjoys in his daily living a rich diet of grapes, which symbolizes life, life and more life, because it represents an exclusive diet of the word of God” (Gen 49:11-12) (Daily Food, Book 3, Week 4, Thursday, p. 63).
