- Believing in the word spoken through God’s channel generates faith. Faith is the invitation for Christ to enter our hearts. He enters and establishes a foundation of love. From this point on, our story with God and with our brothers and sisters is a story of love. Not an individual story, but a collective one. Our story with the Body of Christ also needs to have the same foundation of love, in which we are being woven together (Eph 3:18-19).
- Every building needs a good foundation. The foundation, the infrastructure, needs to be well prepared to receive the superstructure. Christ has laid the infrastructure, the foundation of love, in our hearts and is preparing the superstructure of measureless love. We cannot understand this love in our natural minds. But we can understand it with all the saints, in the Body (Eph 3:18-19).
- God wants to fill us and save our souls. For Christ to dwell in our hearts and command our mind, emotion, and will, we must cooperate with Him daily, allowing the word of life to circulate and pass through us. Thus, we live in the circulation and fellowship of life, and He gradually conquers our souls. (Col 3:16; Eph 3:19).
- “The Father had given Him (the Lord Jesus) authority over His life, and He could decide to give it up or not. If He did not want to, no one could take it from Him. Even with all their military equipment, if Jesus did not want to, the soldiers could not take Him away” (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 1, Thursday, p. 15).
