- Transformation in our lives is a sign that we are being filled with Christ in reality and He is dwelling in our hearts through our faith in the word. To head up all things, Jesus must first head up His church, and, for that, He must, first of all, take control of our hearts (Eph 3:17-19; Col 3:16; Dt 6:6-7).
- In His resurrection, Christ took us out of sin, was placed above all the heavens to fill all things, and took us up together with Him! God created us so that He can build the church and cause Christ to head up all things, both those in heaven as well as on Earth, through us. (Eph 4:7-16).
- This is the reason for our existence: the building up of the Body of Christ by the functioning of all of its members and the supply of divine love to produce the dwelling place of God in the spirit, a fabric of love. When this occurs, the church will be used for Christ to head up all things; then He will return! (Eph 1:22-23; 2:21-22; 4 :15-16; Col 3:14).
- “If we do not stand in the light of God’s word to be constantly cleansed and if in the heart of any of us there is dissatisfaction, ambition, and private interests in the work of the Lord, it will result in betrayal. If anyone among us still covets a position or personal interests in the Lord’s work, one day that person will become a traitor” (Daily Food, Book 4, Week 2, Tuesday, p. 24).
