- Christ suffered and died on the cross, but when He was resurrected, God glorified Him, made Him both Lord and Christ. He became the Spirit of Truth, the other Comforter, and entered into His disciples, giving them eternal life, the life of the Father. As the way, Christ brought into the Father everyone who had received divine life, in order to sanctify him in the truth through the word (John 17:17).
- The resurrection made regeneration possible. We gain another life, the eternal life of God, through the Spirit, He gave to us. By receiving the Spirit, we have a way to go to the Father, who is Christ. And the Father sanctifies us in the truth, which is the word. He is the Spirit who is within all of us who believe in Him, like a spring of water springing up into eternal life (John 17:17; 7:37-39).
- After the resurrection, Christ sat down at the right hand of God in the heavenly places, far above all authority. Together with Him, God raised us up and seated us in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Through the resurrection, the church today lives in the heavenly places, in a new spiritual and heavenly place. It is the living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ: a new day, a new beginning (Eph 1:19-21; 2:6).
- “Today we are in the process that will lead us to glory. (…) Sanctification is the first work that the power of God’s glory works in us. God cannot introduce impurity into His holiness and, for this reason, He must sanctify us through His word, which is truth” (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 1, Tuesday, p. 9).
