DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Tuesday | Mess. 15 – I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life

At the last supper, a moment of intimacy with His disciples, Jesus gave us a lesson in humility, teaching that we are servants of one another (John 13:1-20).
After Judas, the traitor, left the supper, Jesus was able to open the last words of His heart to the eleven disciples: He would die, rise again and become the Spirit to enter into those who believed in Him, thus forming His Body, which is built as a place of eternal habitation of God (John 13:21-30; 14:1-31).
The first section of John’s gospel (chs. 1 to 13) shows the need for God, as eternal life, to dwell in man. The second section (chaps. 14 to 21) indicates that man will be introduced into God. We will live in the Father, for God is our dwelling place (John 3:16, 36; 5:24; 6:40; 14:1-6).
The religious structure promotes a culture of envy, a search for position. All opposition to leadership in the church is driven by envy, which makes people blind and full of evil (Acts 17:1-5, 10-14) (Daily Food, Book 5, Week 1, Tuesday, p. 9).
