- It is not possible to have faith without obedience. Nor is it possible to obey without having faith. When we believe, the Word works in us effectively by the surpassing greatness of God’s power and gives us strength to obey His Word and carry out His command (1 Thess. 2:13; Eph. 1:19).
- The seed of the kingdom of God that has sprouted within us needs to be nourished. To do this, we need to provide it with a suitable environment by casting out everything that prevents the life of God from growing. Life cannot become stagnant! (1 Peter 2:1-3).
- Holiness does not come from a mere rule of behavior, but from having the same holy life as the Father. This life gives us the power to live unfeigned brotherly love. Therefore, we need to rid ourselves of negative things and nourish the seed of life in our hearts (1 Pet 1:15-16, 22).
- Truth fills the voids in our lives by replacing what is false with what is real and divine. So, it is vital that we immerse ourselves in the word so that it can transform us by filling us with God’s holy nature (Eph 5:25-27) (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 3, Tuesday, p. 41).
