- God is doing a work of transformation. According to His great mercy, the Lord has caused us to be born again. Peter was clear about God’s plan; about what Christ came to do. The day we received new life, when we believed in Jesus, our salvation began. Our spirit was regenerated (1 Pet. 1:3-5; John 3:1-15).
- The seed of the kingdom needs good soil, the heart of man, which is composed of a part of the spirit, the conscience, plus the three parts of the soul. The seed has entered our spirit, now it needs to have contact with our soul. Without this contact, the mind becomes fruitless. When we believed in the Lord, our mind accepted, our will made a choice, and our emotions confirmed it. You decided to believe in the Lord Jesus. From then on, the seed needs to transform the soul, which still retains the elements of the old creation (Matt. 13:1-23).
- To transform our soul, trials may be necessary. We were full of vanity; our emotions loved the things of the world. However, transformation also happens, like the purification of gold, when we constantly inculcate the word, listening to it, transcribing it and war cries (1 Pet.1:6-7).
- The source of life is the Father, and the Son is eternal life itself, which God wants to give to man. We, who had no access to God, have been brought into the fellowship of life by believing in the Word of life! What a wonderful thing God has prepared for us! (Daily Food, Book 1, Tuesday, p. 26).
