- The word of truth transforms us, sanctifies us, and cleanses our inner being. It brings the life and nature of God into us, and removes the elements of the old man and all sin. We need to remain in this circulation of life (Eph. 5:26; 1 John 1:3).
- Our hearts were created to receive the word of God. But the enemy knows this and wants to steal it. He not only uses the passions that exist in the world, but also uses legitimate things, such as work, studies and family. Satan’s intention is to ruin our hearts (2 Tim 2:22).
- We must give free rein to the Spirit. The Lord needs those who are not capable in themselves, and who have a humble and repentant spirit and who love His word with reverence. We just need to be channels to do God’s work and recognize that our sufficiency comes from God (Isaiah 66:2; 2 Corinthians 3:5).
- “If we do not remain in the circulation of life, we run the risk of sin overtaking us, and as a consequence, the fellowship of life is interrupted. The worst thing that can happen to a branch of the vine is to lose access to the sap” (John 15:2-5) (Daily Food, Book 1, Week 4, Tuesday, pp. 60-61).
