- Biblical knowledge can be captured by our intellect, but the word can only be assimilated by our subjective faith when it is the fruit of experience (James 1:21-25).
- The word of God is a “vehicle” that brings objective faith, Christ, the son of God, into our hearts in order to deposit the divine elements by way of our experiences (2 Pet 1:3-4).
- Man is consists of a body, a soul, and a spirit (1 Thess 5:23). Because of this, the word of Christ needs to follow a course within our being until it reaches our spirit, where there are no barriers (Rom 10:17). Therefore, we need to decide to hear the word of God, receive it in our minds, and transmit it to our emotions and will with the purpose of depositing the elements of Christ in our inner being (Heb 4:10).
- “We do not need to fear being struck down by the cherubim because Christ died for us! We can come before God confidently, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace (Heb 4:15-16)” (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 1, Tuesday, pg. 8).
