- The prophetic word, the word “rhema” is all based on the word of the Bible, which is the “logos”. Revelation is given to the channel God uses, based on the Bible. This is the teaching of the apostles. The prophetic word is the supply at all times, like the nutrition and oxygen that a body needs to function (Acts 2:42; Heb 1:1).
- The impact on the day of Pentecost was great! Those who were saved were introduced to a new way of living: the church. The church is something heavenly, it does not belong to the world. They no longer cared about hierarchy or human capacity, but only about the teaching of the apostles. They also freed themselves from the constraints of material wealth, as they all had everything in common (Acts 2:44-45).
- Money rules man, and the love of money is the root of all evil. The church needs to be outside this domain. That’s why we need to live the heavenly life and be a kingdom investor. This is the way to free ourselves from the love of money (1 Tim 6:10; Gal 1:4).
- God’s goal is to bring us into Himself, to form a mutual habitation, which will culminate in the new Jerusalem, the glorious result of this spiritual edification. What an honor! God will dwell with men for all eternity! (Rev 21:2-3) (Daily Food, Book 4, Week 3, Wednesday, p. 45).
