1. What a privilege! We can witness the final age of Revelation and enlist as last-hour workers to bring the Lord back. We have a dual mission: to build the church, by weaving a fabric of love that will last for all eternity, and to preach the gospel of the kingdom to all the inhabited earth as a witness to all nations. Only then will the end come. That is why the church in Philadelphia loves the Lord’s return.
2. On the one hand, we need an army preaching the gospel of the kingdom in the streets. On the other hand, we need to transform the result of our preaching into people who will live the church life together with us to fight for the Lord’s kingdom. We need colporteurs, reception centers, and care networks in the churches to take care of these people.
3. The Lord who appears to the church in Sardis has the Seven Spirits of God and the seven stars in His hands. It is the Spirit who is able to do God’s work, not human ability, organization, experience, or biblical knowledge. The work of building the church is done by the Spirit.
4. “This is the commitment that drives us in the spiritual warfare that we wage on the streets, by approaching people to ask, “May I pray for you?”, to preach the gospel and to distribute books that speak of the gospel of the kingdom. Our object is, first, to bring them to the church to be healed and then, like Paul, to give them individual care so that they, too, may serve the Lord.”
