DAILY IMMERSION Monday | M23 Paull`s Final Words to the Colossians
All the cannons of hell are turned against the prophetic word and against the one who speaks The biblical passage present in Colossians 4:2-4 shows that the apostle Paul was handcuffed because of the word. The enemy uses the religious and secular world to attack the word and those who speak it. That’s why we need to persevere in prayer, watch and beg for God to open the door to the prophetic word.
Contamination by Greek philosophy and Jewish tradition made the churches consider Paul as just one more speaker option among many others. It was as if the brothers could choose the thought or word that was most favorable to them. In all of his epistles, Paul wanted to show that the church did not have that option. It is God who chooses and appoints who speaks for Him.
The Church is the body of Christ. The moment you believe in Jesus, immediately the Holy Spirit baptizes you into the body and you become a member of the body of Christ. This body has many members and God gives each of them a different God gave you a function! Be content where God has placed you. You’re in the right place. Perform your function (1 Corinthians 12:12-18).
It was not the favor of men, high theology, or biblical knowledge that made Paul the one who spoke for God, but the revelation of Jesus Christ. Jesus reveals Himself to whoever He wants. If it were by human choice, Paul would perhaps be the last to be chosen, as he was a persecutor of the Church. He himself did not think himself capable of speaking for God. But the ways and thoughts of God are not like the ways and thoughts of men. Paul did not designate himself for the burden of speaking for God. God Himself appointed him. Paul had a duty to speak for God. (Gal 1:1-13, 2 Tim 1:8-11, Isa 55:8)
