1. Throughout John’s Gospel, water refers to the Spirit who flows as the water of life through the Word. The words that the Lord has spoken to us have flowed among us like the water of life. The more this water flows among us, the more life and edification of God is produced in the church.
2. John aims to take us away from the superficiality of the letter and religion, so that we can delve deeper into the reality of life. To do this, we need to follow the Spirit, which is like the wind and does not have a fixed rule of conduct. Let us not limit the Spirit’s actions by our rules of letter and religion, nor judge what He does by our logic and concepts. It is necessary to be simple like teens and follow the Spirit’s instructions through the Word.
3. Let us not limit what the Spirit wants to do in our midst to close this age. The time has come for the church in Philadelphia, with simplicity and little strength, to follow the Spirit in His power. God wants to carry out His work on earth through heavenly things. Therefore, it is necessary to ascend to heaven on the wings of an eagle, see things from above and follow the pace of heaven to practice His word on earth.
4. “The prophetic speaking has guided the Lord’s churches towards the kingdom. It is important to have reverent love for the Word, praying and interceding for our brothers who have been given the task of speaking for God.”.
