DAILY IMMERSION Monday | Mess. 16 – He Must Increase, but I Must Decrease

1. Cain took the path of Lucifer, serving God based solely on his abilities. Someone who stands out in the service of God due to their high capacity almost always falls into pride. Cain was reproached by God, who did not accept his person and offering. He created us with the intention that we would depend on Him to serve Him.

2. All human capacity is nothing compared to God. The Lord does not depend on our efforts to carry out His work. We need to recognize our total dependence on Him. On the human level, the best we can present to God is still on the earthly plane, they are fruits of the flesh. It is necessary to see from the heavenly plane.

3. God’s judgment between Abel and Cain is not in accordance with human logic and appears to be an injustice. By doing something so perfect for God, through his own ability, Cain ended up being proud and reproached by Him, just like Lucifer. Abel took the path of Jesus, lowered himself, humbled himself, emptied himself and was obedient, being approved by God.

4. “In Colossians, mention is made of “persevering in prayer and watching” (4:2), and also of pleading on behalf of those who speak the word of God (v. 3). This is because the word of God is what does all His work, which gives direction and encourages the church to move forward. God’s word to us is an order.”.
