DAILY IMMERSION Saturday | M01 The Root of the Church’s Decline: Losing the First Love

The church has only the speaking of the Son. In our days it is the Son who speaks. He chooses His channels to speak. In Paul’s day, the many competitions with the prophetic word distracted the churches. God has His prophetic word, but Satan uses man’s ambition to drag followers after him (Acts 20: 28-30).
This competition of other teachings with the prophetic word opened the door for many heresies to enter the church in John’s time and at the beginning of the 2nd century there was no longer a word inspired by the Holy Spirit in the church.
It generated a great decay. The lack of the Word causes us to lose our first love. Secondly, the lack of the word means that there is no work of God, the lack of the word also means that there is no leadership of the Spirit in the Church and it lacks the necessary direction. The Word is everything to us!
