DAILY IMMERSION Sunday | M.16 – Seek the things above where Christ lives.

  1. The Spirit that Jesus referred to in John 7 is represented by the compound oil of the anointing (Ex. 30:22-25). The pure oil base represents the Spirit of God (Gen. 1:2). The four spices mean: myrrh – the precious death of Christ, cinnamon – the sweet death of Christ and His efficacy (Rom. 8:13), calamus – the precious resurrection of Christ, and cassia – the power of the resurrection of Christ (Eph. 2:6; Col. 3:1; 1 Pet. 1:3).
  2. The Spirit we receive when we believe contains all that God is and has, offering man His holy life and nature, His attributes and essence, light and love.
  3. If we need a perfect human living, it is in this holy anointing oil. If we need to mortify our flesh, the effect of death is in this Spirit. If we are downcast and need to walk in newness of life, in this Spirit is the resurrection.
  4. Christ was obedient unto death. Today, His goal is to bring us to be obedient to Him. The more we immerse in the Word and practice it, the more obedient we become. The Lord wants to make His church obedient. When He does, He can come back! (Phil. 2:5-8)
  5. Obedience allows Christ to lead us to glory, the ultimate goal, to the kingdom, so that we may all be glorified at His coming. (Heb. 1:3).
  6. Through immersion, we will become more and more obedient to the Lord, simpler and more focused. It is this group of people that the Lord will use to bring His kingdom back. Can the Lord count on you?
