1. The messengers chosen by God as His channels were not instituted by men. Therefore, we must honor, praise God, and pray for these men, because no one has assigned a post to them. It was the Head who ordered and coordinated this. (2 Corinthians 12:18).
2. The error of the church in Thyatira was to usurp for itself all the authority of the government that should belong to Christ. Furthermore, the error of the Protestant Reformation was to give too much importance to human thoughts and opinions, without observing what the Word of God says. It is the Word of God that has the command. Christ must be the Head of the church. The authority must belong to the Spirit by way of the prophetic word in a normal situation.
3. Our mission, on the one hand, is to build up the church, that is, to weave this fabric of love. On the other hand, we must preach the gospel of the kingdom to all the inhabited earth, for a witness to all nations. Then, the end will come! The church in Philadelphia is concerned about the coming of the Lord.
4. “That is why we preach the gospel of the kingdom in the streets and sow the books through colporting. When contacting people, we also need to leave books with them so that they can receive the gospel of the kingdom and grow to maturity. From then on, people must be welcomed, taught, and admonished in the church, so that they too may be completely filled with Christ.”
