1. For edification, God needs offerings and materials. The offering is our consecration, it is presenting our body to serve the Lord. By serving Him, we are transformed. Natural elements give way to divine elements of God in us, and we increasingly become suitable materials for building. (Ex 25:1-7; Rom 12:1)
2. For construction, the Lord needs men skilled in handling the materials. All of us, on the one hand, need to be suitable materials for building the church. On the other hand, we also need to know how to deal with materials. (Ex 28:3; Acts 7:22-34)
3. God needs us, but not our natural ability. God wants to use us, but our ability is just a support. God Himself is the power to do His work. (Ex 28:3; Acts 7:22-34)
4. God wants to use our ability as a support. But if we do not have any capacity, God will not be able to use us in resurrection. Let’s take advantage of every situation to be empowered. Let us also allow God to put our ability to death, to use it in resurrection. Our sufficiency comes from God, because the excellency of the power is from God and not from the earthen vessel. (Acts 7:22-34; 2 Cor 3:4-6; 4:7)
