1. The light of the fourth day is for ruling. The gospel of the kingdom aims at Christ’s ruling over the church. For there to be government in Jerusalem, it was necessary to restore the walls. Today, the restoration of the “walls of Jerusalem” is the restoration of the prophetic word for Christ’s government in the church (Gen. 1:14-18; Neh. 6:15-16).
2. God governs His people through the word spoken by His prophets, and the true prophet speaks the word that God commands (Heb 1:1-2; Deut 18:18).
3. God continues to speak through the Son through His prophets. When God’s speaking stops, God’s work also stops (John 14:10-12).
4. The law of the Spirit of life makes you free from the law of sin and death; now you can heed the call, “Come up here” (Rev. 4:1b) (Daily Food, Book 4, Week 2, Thursday, p. 33)
