1. We are fighting for the restoration of God’s government, which comes by His word. (Ne 2:18; Ne 4:1-14).
2. The more we build, the fiercer the enemy’s attacks will be against us. He wants to frighten those who build, so as to paralyze the work. But our strength is in the word. Before us is an open door. The Lord loves the church in Philadelphia (Neh 4:1-14; Neh 6:1-16; Rev 3:8-11).
3. Time exists for Christ’s headship. This is the purpose of time, to make Christ the Head over all things. That’s why God gave Him to the church, because the way to fill all things is through Christ (Eph 1:9-10, 22-23; 3:17-19).
4. There is no problem with man living and enjoying what is legitimate and rightful, but he can never lose sight of his purpose, his zeal in doing God’s will (Eph 5:15-19) (Daily Food, Book 3, Week 4, Thursday, page 63).
