1. At the end of time, God wants a church that is not a façade, but that has the spiritual reality of everything it does, not just from the mouth, but from the heart. God needs all this Word that He is speaking to His church to be inculcated in our hearts and our spiritual reality to be manifested through our behavior and conduct here on earth.
2. This is our mission as church: to bring God’s headship to earth, first in us, our lives, families and church, and so through the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom extend His rule over all things.
3. The church in Sardis should not only have sought the light of justification by faith, a basic and essential truth, but it could also have seen that the church was to be governed by Christ. The authority of the Holy Spirit is essential, otherwise God would not be able to do His will.
4. We are the last-hour workers, and the Lord is in a hurry to complete the building of the church. That is why we can not continue to live in a traditional way. When we immerse ourselves in the word, we exercise the spirit; faith then comes, and we live in newness of life.
