1. All of God’s work is done by the Word of life. This Word is a vehicle to bring the life of God to man and thus do His will. All of God’s work begins with the Word of God. God said: “let there be light and there was light”. There is no complication, God speaks and the work is done.
2. For God’s work to be done, His Word is necessary, but also the counterpart of those who hear it and immediately put it into practice, as determined by it. We don’t need to add anything, change, complicate or explain much. The word that Jesus speaks does the work.
3. In the time of the apostle Paul, there was a lot of competition between some words, doctrines and information. Especially among the Greeks, there were many philosophical parties and schools, that is, they had a menu of philosophers to choose from. In God’s work there is no such menu. If we don’t know this, we will deal with God’s work, as we do with things here on earth, making our own choices. If this is the case among God’s people, God’s work on earth cannot be carried out.
4. “At the end of each letter to the seven churches of Revelation, there is always the phrase: “He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. But what does the Spirit say to the churches? The prophetic word is what the Spirit says to the churches. The Spirit is always speaking to the Church, so we must pay full attention to what He is saying.”
