DAILY IMMERSION Wednesday | Mess. 10: Sardis: The Treasure Hidden in a Field

1. Today we have the correct base of church unity – one church in every city – and the prophetic word, by which Christ governs His church and which gives us God’s direction and order. We learn to live in the spirit because the church is heavenly. This base made it possible for every blessing that is poured out to be for the whole Body.

2. With so many divisions, an environment of competition emerged as to who had the best biblical truth, best preaching, or was more spiritual. They placed more emphasis on the messages than on carrying out God’s work. Thus, the church lost the usefulness of bearing fruit for the Lord. What interests the Lord is the prophetic word that produces fruit. There is no more time to debate over doctrines.

3. Our heart is the soil to receive the seed of the kingdom, which is the word of the kingdom. We must listen to it in order to bear fruit. We need to have a proper heart to hear the Word. A hard heart criticizes, selects what is according to its own philosophy, and does not receive the word of the kingdom.

4. “In this regard, Paul tells Timothy, “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all” (1 Tim. 4:15). Meditate, ruminate, do immersion! We will not have spiritual progress if we swallow the word like a pig and a dog do with their food. If we practice ruminating, immersing ourselves in the word, the Lord will give us understanding in all things
