DAILY IMMERSION Wednesday | Mess. 16 – He Must Increase, but I Must Decrease

1. John the Baptist’s way of life indicated a break with the old religious structure, to introduce something new: Christ. His role was to make it clear that the old structure could not give way to Christ. The same occurs today, at the end of time, the Lord is accelerating the pace of the church. He wants to end this age! Therefore, He called the workers of the last hour, who need to act outside the box.

2. We must not be content with the traditional and conventional way of living in the church. In this way we do not rush the Lord’s return. The chief priests of Jesus’ time remained in the old religious structure, and ended up opposing the Lord. If we stay in the old religious structure, there is a danger of rebelling against what God is doing, becoming opponents of His work (Mark 3: 1-6).

3. The writings of the apostle John have a very interesting characteristic: he is not concerned with narrating events through human logic or rationality, but he wants to take us to heaven to see as God sees, to give us a vision from above.

4.“God wants to give revelation to His servants so that they can prophesy in the churches. Such servants are the corporate mouth in the Body of Christ. However, this revelation was given through one person: the apostle John. God gave revelation to His servants through John, and they transmitted to the church what John received from God. This is how God acts, so that there is on.
