- “Little children, it is the last hour” (1 John 2:18a). We have reached a crucial moment in the battle, because God wants to establish the kingdom that is governed by His life. He wants to warn us about the moment in which we live, the last hour, which is related to the coming of the Lord. However, the enemy uses his weapons to cause casualties and damage to the church. Let the spiritual hosts of evil know that our Lord will return and take possession of His kingdom (Luke 19:12-15). Hence, be very clear about which side you are on. I want to be in the church that does the will of God, and I do not want to succumb to the will of the world (Matthew 25:31- 34).
- Shortly before the Lord’s coming, the antichrist will arise, a powerful man who will make an alliance with the people and bring peace and order to the world for three and a half years (Daniel 7:24-25; 9:27; 11:36-37). However, when they say peace and safety, sudden destruction will come upon them, the great tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:3). All this will happen, but the enemy’s party will be over. We, the overcomers, the Male Child, the strong part of the church that fights for His kingdom, will be caught up to the throne of God (Revelation 12:5).
- The antichrist is someone who opposes the will of God carried out in the church. They are false spiritual beings who take on the form of godliness (2 Timothy 3:5) to deceive people in order to achieve their personal goals of popularity and power. These people left us because they rejected the word of life (1 John 2:18-19). The focus of the book of John is the Word of life, which brings eternal life and produces, in those who believe, the fellowship of life. In the face of attacks, it is very important to maintain ourselves in the fellowship of life. For this, we have the anointing (1 John 2:20). When the Spirit guides us to the truth, the anointing anoints us, and we begin to have peace. If we begin to act without the anointing, it is best to stop.
- In this battle, we need resistance and emotional resilience, because the enemy will spread many lies against us. May the Lord strengthen us through His word. Let us remain in what we have heard from the beginning, the Word of life, which comes through John and introduces us into the fellowship of the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ (1 John 1:1-4). This is our salvation. We are not strong enough to fight against the liar, but if we remain in the Word of life, in the word of the apostles and in the fellowship of life, we will be saved from many hardships and we will overcome the evil one. We will not fall in combat, but we will remain steadfast, because we have brothers and sisters by our side who support us. Let us continue in the battle together to make Christ take possession of His kingdom (1 John 2:23-24).
