- False teachers are like springs from which thirsty people draw water to quench their thirst; however, these springs have no water and do not quench anyone’s thirst. They are like clouds without water, driven by the winds; they have a form of godliness, but without the power of life (2 Pet 2:17-19; Jude 12; 2 Tim 3:5).
- False teachers were once people who had received the word of truth and had already had the knowledge of Jesus Christ, followed the apostles and had already escaped contamination, but they regressed, and their state became worse than when they were unbelievers. Therefore, we must value the power of the word that changes our nature and transforms our soul (2 Pet 2:20-22; Jas 1:21).
- It is important to inculcate the word in our hearts through immersion, because this is how the reality of God is transferred into our subjective faith. The Lord is transforming our inner being! (Deut. 6:1-9; 2 Cor. 3:18).
- In order to be cleansed, the word must be accompanied by faith (Heb 4:2-3). When Jesus was on earth, the same word was spoken to the twelve disciples, but the heart of one of them was not cleansed because he did not hear the word with faith. Dear reader, have you taken advantage of the word you receive? We need to hear the word with faith! (Daily Food, Book 2, week 3, Sunday, p. 56).
