- To live a victorious Christian life in the church, we need to be filled with the Spirit. Otherwise, we will become drunk with the “wines” of the world. And how do we fill ourselves with the Spirit? By speaking the Word among ourselves. The Word needs to dwell richly in us. Let us speak to one another, instructing one another (Eph 5:18-19; Col 3:16; Acts 2:22; 5:5-15).
- We need the “hearing of faith” that the Spirit of God gives us. When we diligently listen to the word, the Spirit works in our lives. Practicing the law does not bring life or the Spirit of God to man. Let us practice the hearing of faith (Gal. 3:2, 5).
- God’s desire is for us to be led by the Spirit, for we have been born of the Spirit and belong to the spiritual realm. The Spirit is not guided by human logic. We must not return to the realm of the flesh and live by our own logic or wisdom. We must allow the Spirit to do God’s work (Jn 3:8).
- “The human concept considers trials as a punishment from God. However, the Word shows us that God disciplines us as beloved children. His discipline, however, is designed to make us partakers of His holiness and to learn to depend totally on His life (Heb 12:5-11)” (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 1, Thursday, p. 13).
